Job Description

Job Summary: The Surgical Tech at HR Employer Solutions Group will be responsible for providing support to surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. This role will be a critical part of ensuring the efficiency and success of surgical operations. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of surgical techniques, equipment, and patient care, and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position based in West Palm Beach, Florida, and it is an individual contributor role. Compensation & Benefits: This position offers a competitive salary of $30 per hour, paid weekly. Responsibilities:

• Prepare, sterilize, and set up surgical equipment and supplies before and during surgery.
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon and other team members.
• Monitor and maintain a sterile environment during surgeries.
• Prepare and position patients for surgical procedures.
• Handle specimens and tissue samples for laboratory testing.
• Clean and restock the operating room after each procedure.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the efficient flow of surgical operations.
• Follow all safety and infection control policies and protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of surgical procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in surgical technology and techniques.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Previous experience as a surgical tech prefered.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and supplies.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• CPR certification.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
